    Tyres

Iam a tyre fitter and have just fitted a set of 255/55x18 at2s to my 4.6 hse after having sold lots of them and getting excellent reports back from customers. some pretty good mileage figures from commercial users who used to use bfg at tyres and now wont fit any thing else. they certainly seem...

    mixing tyre size

if the 235 tyres are a 70% profile ie 235/70x16 then they will be the same rolling radius as the 205x16. the only difference is that the 235 tyre is 30mm wider. while this is not a problem as sutch, it is preferable to fit the same size all round. if you do fit the 235 tyres then they would need...

    Oil filter Leaking

just a thought as i have seen this before. have you checked that the old seal was removed before the new filter was fitted. ie you could have 2 seals fitted. when you tighten the filter it spreads the second seal out, cos there is no retaining grove for it to sit in.

    P38 overheating but why?

I agree with brutus. the rads on p38s get clogged up in time and flushing out is not always successful. if the rad has cold spots on it then its a good pointer that the hot water is not getting through that part of the rad. the k seal probably finally blocked any small gaps left in the cores .

Right had enough of this now, changed head gasket and its still ****ed

I think you may well find the radiator is blocked. where the water is getting through it will feel hot. where it is blocked it will feel cold. this was the problem with mine. i had flushed it out but still overheated. changed the rad and all was well.
