Sounds like it could be misfiring possibly due to an injector problem, fit new injector harness ?

I have now picked up my TD5 (2001) and notice the rear lighting arrangement os totally different from my 300tdi. i.e. sidelights only light in the rear bumper which also inlude the rear fog lights, and the flashers and brake lights are in the higher up lights. Is this right or has the wiring...

I bought a new propshaft for my 300tdi which was suffering from a vibration which turned out to be a loose propshaft !! and now all is well. I am now buying a 2001 TD5, will this propshaft fit the TD5 or should I sell it with the 300.

Sorry to jump in on this post, but on my 300tdi the rev counter works but is all over the show when revving but looks good on tick over. I suspect its the clock itself, anyone had similar probs.

Any recommendations regarding upgrading the power on a TD5. I have seen adverts for plug in type power boosters and also for re-mapping your ECU. Which is the best (and tried) option. I also tow a large caravan and live in Bristol so companies in the west country would be better.

I will keep that in mind, I am only up the road in Bristol.

Is the disco better with air suspension or springs ? the conversion seems a more reliable option.
