    Roof rail gaskets

I should have guessed this wouldn't be straight forward. I'll give them a call later and try for some part numbers but may just buy some neoprene sheet off Fleabay and cut some new ones, or revert to plan A with the sealant.

    Roof rail gaskets

I've got the roof lining out of my 04 TD5 at the moment to sort the leaking sunroofs and someone suggested I reseal the roof rails at the same time as this can be another entry point. I've got both bars off and the spongy pads that are fixed to the bottom are saturated and we've not had rain for...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Replaced the injector harness on my Disco, first time I've actually done anything that involved taking apart a bit of the engine so with nothing left over, no leaks and it running OK I'm actually quite chuffed with myself. :D

Leaking water from passenger front roof liner

Not got this far with mine yet but the failed roof bar gaskets, is it good enough to bed the existing ones back on sealant to prevent leaks or do they rot and need replacing? Seems there are 8 required, totalling about £25 with postage.

What have you done to your Landie today.

Was going to be changing the injector harness till I noticed the torque setting of the cover bolts, mine doesn't go low enough and the thought of stripping the threads doing it by guesswork was enough to have me running to fleabay to buy a low range torque wrench. Ended up removing the remaining...

    Leaking Sun Roof's

Good idea about the roof bars, may as well get it all done as I don't intend taking the roofliner out again, not until it falls apart anyway. Windscreen has lost it's heating circuit in a few places and with a couple of big chips it might be time to get it replaced soon. All work is off for the...

    Leaking Sun Roof's

Seems I spoilt for choice when it comes to leaky sunroof threads  Took the headlining out and treated the old girl to a car wash so I could see where the water was getting in. All four pipes seem intact and the front roof stayed dry but there was a steady flow of water running off the rear...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Replaced the air springs on my TD5, each morning it was looking like some yank low rider and backing down the drive felt like I was about to rip out the wheel arches. The difference is quite noticeable, especially on some of the tight corners and rough roads we have round here, feels a lot...

    CB Fitted

If it's a regular 40/80 channel FM CB then there really won't be much difference in performance between them these days but the Intek M100 is pretty compact and offers multiband options if you decide to go abroad. All should be limited to 4W output but if you want to increase the range...

    Another wont start thread

Thanks Griff, that'll save looking for the O rings. That's the how to I found but didn't like to mention it, I found out to my cost somewhere else that some forums get a bit funny if you post links to other sites. Of course this couldn't have happened 10 days ago when I had to order the air...

    Another wont start thread

Got in it this morning, engine turned over, fired and died all within a second. I then spent the next couple of minutes turning it over before giving up and coming back in to search the forum. The Fuel pump sounds normal, it cranked over fine and starter sounds normal but no attempt to fire. If...

    Hello

Unbelievable, me and my big gob. Got in it this morning, engine turned, fired, died, all within a second. Off to open a new thread now, effing Discos!

    Hello

Hi from me, based in Lewes, Sussex and am on my second Landie. First one was a 52 Freelander and the last black car I ever buy, nightmare trying to keep it looking half decent. Chopped that in for a 04 Disco 2 and still have it nine years on, so far it seems that everything that has gone wrong...

Discovery - How to repair a leaking sunroof guide

First post from me but have been lurking for a while, I've got a D2 on an 04 and have been suffering the leaking sunroof for a year or more but being lazy have found it easier to have towels to hand rather than fix it. If I park facing up hill it pours out of the seatbelt slot when I go round...
