side lights were really brightso i took off the lens cover and the bulb was a tad hot so i took it out and asked my mate rob why he put 21 watts in instead of 5 watt bulbs:cool:........sussed next problem......... dipped and full are not brilliant but bear in mind we have not tested them at...

it looks this way as the lad double checked everything and we all know how landies are for bad earths.....got wiring schematics sorted out now so we know if what goes where on monday when im back at work.....its fitted with wipac halogens as well

will tell my mate as he was doing it as i was spraying some bits at the time...if it were a bad earth would not full beam be dim as well.....got great side lights though lol.....might have to look at the schematics:mad: but i always find my wiring never matches up with what i am reading...

anyone know which wire goes where on my front halogen head lights seies 3 109.....connected everything up and indicators fine...side lights bright but main beam yellowish but full ok....i hate looking at schematics:mad:

years ago you could buy a product we used to use on bare metal prior to painting called deoxidene 124....when metal was submerged in it and left it would strip everything off even chrome plating:D

mines a bit dodgy due to the wheel carrier....as anyone close by got one for sale....been on ebay but all too far etc....will be putting the wheel back on but prefer an unwheeled version etc

they is no sealer i know off to help you and i have 31 years experience:D...tricks includes meths and shellac knotting:D just thin it 5% at first and spray a test panel....your looking for an even spray patten and remember to keep gun parallel and about 8 inches away...even turn the needle screw...

only applicable if its a 2 pack system and he is using 1 pack as far as i know poor lad will be confused now :eek:

can you not ask the supplier for the ratio...jus done a search and i think you have beckers paint.....cannot find any data for this but most synthetics use between 5 and 10 % synthetic thinner....
