right this has been getting on my tits........... couple of weeks ago i changed my vacum pump becuse ive been chasing this tapping sound. anyway tapping was still there, drove it 5 miles and the oil light came on at idle for the first time.... so i checked oil, fine. i replaced pressure...

ok cheers the window wont open from the door switch and consol switch so proberly motor or wires....

all ive done is place my home made aluminium tin lid cut to size to block pipe. i have not touched any wiring etc is this correct. i can feel the diffrence!

i only have 1 rear window not working, are they linked on circuit bored or seperate?

i know this is an old thread covered many times.... but do you have to disconnect any wires? ie the closes to egr?

cant understand the theory of it being the release bearing?? have you checked the oil level of yer gearbox...

if you let go off steering wheel does it pull to one side, might be worth getting tracking done aswell

have you serviced the brake pistons, they may be catching might be worth giving them a rub down with pads out....

you see loads of pajeros for example my mate has one is j reg and he is always using this to launch a 8.5 metre scorpion with no trouble and no rust. just my opinion. you also have toyota land cruiser etc etc which are glavanised upto you if you know landrovers well stick to what you know...

personely if it was partly being used for launching jet ski in salt water i would not go for a disco i would go for a 4x4 that is glavanised ie mitubishi pajero etc.....
