Looks like I'm going to have to do this mod too, water temp gauge is sitting at about a 1/4, it's usually my wife that uses it for work which is a 8 mile drive each way but I took it to Edinburgh and noticed the low temp on the gauge. I've got a Scangauge 2 fitted so will set one of the gauges...

I agree with Spacemonkey and Hippo, I've been a member of a forum car club before and it doesn't work, better just keeping things informal, it stops elitism and folk getting up their own arse and ruining things. A community like we have on this site is better than a club.

Nice hoses, I fitted the blue ones to mine but they've started to discolour already.

Is the turbo making boost? Could the whistle noise be a whine coming from a shagged turbo?

I've got a Synergy 2 with new in the box Peirburgh (sp) sensor and new switch. Just took it off my TD4 last week as I'm thinking about selling the Freelander. I didn't need the sensor and never got round to fitting the switch. Got he instructions etc as well.

The same thing is happening with mine, they come on and off randomly

On the grommets I have for my guards the hole in the grommet is 6mm, part that fits in the hole you drill is 10mm and the outside diameter is 14mm. I need to get my hands on 2 of the spacers, the long one for the rear lights and one for the front lights that spaces it out from the wings...

Fuel pump and filter changed, the Freelander lives again.......

Changed fuel pressure switch, still won't start...need to check fuel pump, will change fuel filter at the same time.

Aerocatches are what I meant by bonnet pins, just couldn't remember the correct name, got a lockable set still in the box in my garage that I was going to fit to the fibreglass bonnet on my other car but managed to get my hands on an alloy bonnet so they weren't needed.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping, I went down to the garage this morning and checked the connectors, they looked clean but gave them a clean anyway. The harness mod has already been done so looks like it's the sensor. I need to get one quick but everywhere is closed, can't get one until...

Those parts look good RealBeale, nice to see a snorkel with a bit of style. If fitting a fibreglass bonnet then bonnet pins should be fitted.

Well this morning the Freelander deciced to lose power and stall while my wife was going to work, gradual loss of power then when she pulled over to the side of the road it died. Lone female so she got priority status from the AA who still took an hour and a half to get to her on a main road...

Ah, my other car is a R34 Skyline, I've replaced all the hoses on it so have a few spares kicking around. I'll have a look under the bonnet when the rain, sleet and snow stops.

I've just got it cable tied out of the way just now but will put it in the ecu box to tidy it up once I've got the dash switch fitted.

£65, what a bargain!!!! I fitted mine last week, still got the dash switch to fit. Tried it on setting 5 and was well impressed. Have filled the tank and put it on setting 1 to see what mpg I get.
