What dizzy is needed for my 3.5??

Inlet manifold, just behind the dizzy there are two sensors. One's the coolant temp one.

    is my diff locked?

If you decide to put a manual transfer box in, I've got one complete with levers etc.

    Monroe Loadleveler shocks.

Now I've looked at the link, I suspect that the Ride Levellers would be perfect... I wonder if I can buy the shocks without the rest of the kit.

    french autobox

I don't know which automatic gearbox is in the 2.5 TD, but if it has a kickdown cable, loosen the cable a couple of turns, that might cure it.

    Monroe Loadleveler shocks.

Liverpool... I think they're the Load Levellers. They're the ones with the little compressor under the bonnet to inflate / deflate 'em. I'll have a look in some caravan mags though - provided I don't have to buy 'em. Can't abide caravans..

LPG or Not LPG that is the question????

If there is a whopping great gubbin between the plenum chamber and AFM, then it's single point. If there are two blocks of four gas injectors on the inlet manifold it'll be multi-point.

LPG or Not LPG that is the question????

On my last LPG classic the gas tanks were where the petrol tank used to be and they were surrounded by a huge, great f**k off guard. Can't this be done on a P38?

    p38 4.0 lpg or 2.5 diesel?

V8 every single time. I've just spent nearly a week changing the auto box on my Classic and it was worth it just to listen to the thing firing up after all the hard work. If I was unfortunate enough to own a diesel Range Rover, I wouldn't have bothered fixing it. I'd have taken it apart and...

    Monroe Loadleveler shocks.

I've got a pair of these on the back of my Classic, they've been on for >100,000 miles so I suspect they need changing, but I can't find replacement ones anywhere. I could do with them as Wood and Picket cut the mounting from the body for the Boge strut when the Monroes were fitted. Anyone got...

    Classic 3.5 not starting

I had this with one of mine a couple of years ago. Put 12v to the fuel pump fuse for a couple of seconds and it kicked back to life. Sticky pump relay.

    Classic flooding when cold

Another thing to check might be the fuel temp sender. I've known those to cause rough running when cold (mine does it), but not to flood.

    Classic flooding when cold

Check the ignition module on the distributor. I towed a trailer to Italy a few years ago and had the same problem. Sometimes it'd fire up fine, other times it'd flood pretty seriously.

LPG or Not LPG that is the question????

I'd say do it. In fact, I'd most likely shout it. LPG is the way forward when you're running something like a Range Rover. I've had three LPG Classics (all manky old single point) and it's excellent stuff. Did a run to Devon and back in my old 3.9 in convoy with the girlfriend at the times...

    kickdown cable replacement. Arrgh!.

Bad form and all that, but turns out you can remove the kickdown cable with two judiciously placed flat head screwdrivers; but you have to have the gearbox in bits.

    Wont start now

Is the rotor arm on properly? Is the distributor cap sitting 100% correctly? Are the points set correctly? Is the King lead sitting properly? Is the dwell angle right? When you replaced the points, did you have to pull hard on the rotor arm to remove it, and if so, did you keep hold of the...

    kickdown cable replacement. Arrgh!.

After somewhat frying my auto box I ended up buying a secondhand 'box off the mighty ebay. Unfortunately, the utter muppet who removed the box did so by cutting through anything that slowed him down. The box is known to be good, but his removal technique, whilst effective, involved cutting the...

I got mine from a Scrapyard that had a load of old Montegos in. £3.

    Double DIN ICE Q

IIRC the US / EU FM spacing is only different because the US doesn't use .0.2.4.6.8, they go .1.3.5.7.9 without the evens. So you can listen to 96.7 but not 95.8, for example. No worries using a European set. The AM spacing is also different.

Big bore Exhaust system for RRC

There's an old Janspeed turbo V8 on ebay at the moment RANGE ROVER V8 JANSPEED TURBO WITH MANUAL GEARBOX on eBay, also, Land Rover, Classic Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 24-Feb-08 12:35:09 GMT) I'd be going for it myself, but I've already got one...

'88 RRover Chassis No - locating

should be a chassis number stamped into the chassis just in front of the o/s/f spring mounting turret. page 12 of thishttp://www.landrover.ee/est/files/manuals/cars/rrc/rrm_Intro.pdf shows where it should be.
