The P38. Just have to be mega-careful. I doubt 18" Grabbers are much use offroad.
The views are incredible sometimes. I keep meaning to go and explore the Lake District, see what's up there.
Wayfarer is ok, gentle, but with a few interesting bits. Not done Corwen.
I tend not to do the deeper river crossings in V8s. I don't give the cars any special preparation other than checking the oil and water, tyre pressures etc. I go greenlaning for the views and a bit of a challenge rather...
I'll show you the Classic sometime, it's not even scratched.....
I must have been mental, taking a turbo'd Rangie off-road.
I've still got it, going to MOT it next week then throw it back on Ebay. Free-relisting.
Comedy mate, rest of 'em went out with tons of recovery ****, winches and shovels and waffle boards, CB radios, etc.
I took a toolkit, some herbs, and a few choice CDs.
Wouldn't mind, my Classic is very road biased...
Sounds like a plan to me.
To be honest, there are few very good lads in the Society, it's just a shame that there are a couple of members who want total control over it, and that leads to people "taking sides" and pointless squabbles. I just don't need that ****.
I just want to go greenlaning...
Can anyone recommend a decent Land Rover club around Merseyside? I was one of the original members of Liverpool Land Rover Society, but a back stabbing ****wit (Yes, you, Kenny) and another clueless **** have voted "Not to renew my membership" because I had a spliff when out green-laning last...
The stereos internal amp won't have crossovers for each speaker, so I'd want to fit them.
No point in putting 20khz through a woofer, or indeed 20hz through a tweeter.
That's good news. I might be able to put my Nakamichi into mine then.
I was just going off what I've read on the net, and that I had to change an amp in mine the other day.
I'd have thought that two aerials were better than one though...
"Amps". There are amplifiers in each door, and one in the boot for the sub / subs.
You'll need cross overs for each door as well, three way for the fronts, and more likely than not three ways for each rear door as well - only because nobody seems to do a "Mid / Bass" crossover without it being...
If you do manage to find it, and it takes a SIM card, would you be so kind as to post a pic of the arse end of it so I can see if it's got the right connectors?
And if it has, and it works, I may just want to buy it off you :-)
After finally managing to open the centre cubby in my P38 I was rather amused and intrigued to discover this,
Anyone know which phone would probably fit it? I know it'll be an ancient one, but if it's GSM I'll get one just to use in the car.
I've got a '95 4.6 HSE that's on 181k miles and other than the occasional electrical mishap seems to be spot on. Air suspension works as it should, aircon works as it should (90% of the time), and other than needing an abs sensor somewhere it's fine.
I'd say go for it, but be very very careful...
Using aircon consumes less fuel than driving with a window open. I know which one I prefer. Being cool, comfy, quiet and airconned sure beats the hell out of the window option.
There's also the fact that if you remove the belt, you can't use the AC for a couple of minutes a week - which means...
