vinegar, iirc takes the oxide off, you'll need to wash it off well though and put some oil or polish on it.

Yeah, depends what (if anything) is wrong though, if there's a lot- I think stripping the disco would be more cost effective we'll se though: I've yet to hear from the guy (online auction) so it might all fall flat on it's face anyway.

Erm, I now own a 1993 90 200tdi pickup jobby - £1850, pretty happy with that! Just gotta go fetch it now - I'll be selling the disco in due course, unless I need a lot of bits to get the 90 up to scratch. In which case the disco'll become a donar car.

It's always a satisfying job I reckon. Where do you guys put the actual unit, on a disco 1? Mine's on the fusebox by my right knee with the mic clip on the door, it works ok but does restrict me a bit getting in and out.

Half planning on doing a laning route around that way on Friday or Saturday if you're free? Got one that's all been checked out, one lanes been re-classified (can't remember which but I know the signs been changed) just don't really wanna go it alone, even though they're all pretty tame iirc.
