    ex MOD to civvy conversion?

To my knowledge the military only used the normally aspirated engine and then the 300TDi in the late Wolf land rovers. Certainly in my time in the mob I never saw a turbo diesel Defender. So I would check carefully if you are expecting a turbo D. There is nothing wrong with the manual...

Retro fit seat belts 90 side facing sears

What part of what I said and the extract from the DofT guidance is poo? Also I pointed out what seems to be quite bizzare regs about who you can carry . All of that information is on the DofT website. So you know what you can do with your 'poo'...... :p:p:p

Retro fit seat belts 90 side facing sears

You should not use seatbelts on a side facing seat. It has been proven they do more damage than not having any!! They were not fitted as standard. Also if you fit them then you are limited to who you can carry in the back. It's a bizarre one!

    Winch bumper

Where are you located? I can weld stainless and put a couple of strengtheners in for you if needed. It really depends on how the metal has been formed and welded as to whether it needs reinforcing. As an example, if I take a sheet of 0.8mm steel flat and stand on it then it will bend, if I...

    Winch bumper

In that application it is fine as long as its a good gauge of steel. Stainless is more brittle than mild steel and a lot harder. How thick is it? As long as its over 5mm then its going to be pretty strong. You certainly will not have any corrosion problems!! Building a bumper out of...

    EX MOD 90 first Landy

I have an ex MOD Defender 90 that I put a 200 TDi engine into. I love it to bits. I have a Warn winch on the front and converted the rag top to a rag top truck cab with tonneau cover over the load bay. Still NATO canvass, ex SAS surplus brand new and it looks the biz. Mine is in very rough...

Tuneing up my defender 90 200tdi

I tweaked my pump and fitted an Allard full size intercooler a couple of years ago. Improved the general performance nicely and runs sweet as a nut. However, there is no such thing as a 'fast' landrover. It's a tractor. A granny with a shopping trolly is faster.... If you want speed buy a...
