    Fault Code Explanations

Cheers Guys. I think the cheapo MAF just hasn't lasted as long as the original, but like I say, £33ish against £120ish, so worth replacing each year if it works in the meantime :) Although I can't say for 100% when the MAf fault appeared, I have looked at the fault codes in the last year...

    Fault Code Explanations

Hi All, Just a quick question on the explanation of fault code. Done a search, and have found lists of them, but the description seems to be the same as I get from the faultmate. 2000MY v8 on lpg. She's been running a bit rough, and I suspected MAF as similar symptoms that I had a...

coming soon to an underpigeon near you

    Noise from front wheel

possibly anti roll bar drop links. The ball joints top and bottom give up on most cars. Cheap and easy to do too. If it is that, you have to put a spanner up inside the brackets as there is a back-nut on the ball joint (just in case it is that and I forget to give that advise later!!).

Air compressor tyre inflator t piece

Nah, surely that would put more strain on the EAS and therefore increase the likelyhood of failure at least tenfold - fold up monkey bike in the back has to be the way to go (with the seats down so as to get the weight as central as possible) :D:D:D

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did my good samaritan bit today, stopped to help a stricken RRS which had blown, or should I say exploded a front tyre (looked to me like it should've been changed some time ago!!). The guy was trying to lift it with a scissor jack the size of one that came as standard kit in an austin metro...

Someone will stand me correct I'm sure if needed, but can you get a jump lead onto the back of the starter from underneath to get power into it to allow you to use the fob? - Although its been a long day, so can't think right now what then stops the starter spining.......!!!!! back of the...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Just happened to be there, dirving down an empty A27 and came up on blue lights and two coppers trying to push the Jag back round so it wasn't perpendicular to the kerb. Couldn't in all good conscience drive past without offering to help :)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Once I'd finally got through the numpty drivers in the snow last night, was then able to help the police clear cars out the way. Jeez these things are good in the snow :) Not often you get to drag a jag s type's rear end sideways up a hill to get it pointing back the right way on a dual...

Are those on the hinges at the bottom? The two I had to adjust were at the top, where the catches are. Not sure I saw any other screws around them?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Finally. Finally got the glovebox to close. A small victory, but one that's been bugging me for ages!! It was the two screws with nyloc nuts on which hold the catch mechanism in the right place that was the problem. Was going to wash her, but waiting for the silicon sealant to go off...

    Glovebox strut

hiya, Not sure if these will help, but best I can get :) Oh - and bear in mind I still haven't got my glove box to stay closed, so it might not be in the right place!!! (I think that's more to do with the catch position though)
