Following on from this, the smoke happens at low revs and this fix is for the second turbo, which kicks in at 2800, I am uncertain this addresses the issue?

I've come across this and will happily do the mod but would this cause the sound as well? If it may cause the sound, I'll give it a go because the last thing I want to do is have to take the body off.

There's a bit but nothing I am instantly worried about. I had an issue last year with oil in an intercooler hose, found a split, replaced the hose and it has seemed fine since. I have checked the hoses now, all seem ok.

Could it possibly be a stuck actuator? The noise is very definitely coming from the drivers side and quit far forward by the sounds of it, but could well be coming from behind drivers side wheel where the actuator is....

Car works fine for a few minutes if you park it and leave it for 10 mins... warnings go away, then come back after a short distance.

Well I say lots, it is significantly more than before and I am sure it shouldn't be in the air filter!

The location of the sound would say this isn't very likely, unless leaks can sound like they are coming from a very different location?

Only just got round to looking at this today... Had one error code, weirdly the reader I had didn't actually give a code but it said it was a MAP error. The sound is coming from beneath the black plastic bit, just in front of the fan and behind the radiator/intercooler. I have checked all...
