Working on a Range Rover is like air bubbles in the wallpaper

You fix onething then something else breaks... Took the steering wheel apart to see if I could find an earth fault that is stopping my cruise control working (funning voltage reading on the set button) - of course to do this you have to disable the SRS, RAVE said to disconnect the battery...

    Faultmate....Help!

I agree with Irish - luckily I had an old laptop spare so got the standard unit, it now sits in the boot with the laptop - the only thing it can't do on my P38 is the cruise control, but that is not the fault of BBS it is Landrovers Fault for putting a cheap ECU there with no blooming...

    p38 tow bar question.

It's only two bolts, so easy to remove, but it is useful to have on for pulling a trailer across the fields - chicken and egg situation... LOL

    rain water

Perfect conditions last night here in the UK - rained most of the night, in fact augusts rain fall fell in half an hour! I now have a wet headlining abutting the windscreen just above the sun visor and a water mark down the LH A post. I have already tested the sun roof drain to make sure that...

Put Genral Grabbers AT2 on mine yesterday (£105 per corner fitted) - not driven far but does not tramline as bad as the old Scorpions that were on there (not dissing the tyres but they were very old and worn on edges etc..) - can definatly here more wheeel noise when the window is open though.

I have not had it on the Landrovers, but did get it on my Honda quite a lot. There is a temp sensor for the condensor, perhaps that is on its way out - wait and see...

    electric window help

Doh - sorry didn't read that it was the rear window - no both switches would send a message to the BECM to operate the motor - it is a shame you do not have a Faultmate so that you could test the operation from the BECM....

    electric window help

If you have replaced the motor, it could be the switch in the central consol that is the issue, you would need to look at the wiring diagram for the switch pack to see which wires to short circuit to move the window - if it is the switch a replacement swich pack from a breakers should be easy to...

p38 mpg around 25+ around town

I re-set my computer a couple of weeks ago, yesterday I did a 360 mile round trip to Burton and got 17.5 mpg (4.6 gems)(usually 15 mpg) - I was well chuffed, especially as the LPG is cheaper 'up North' - so the trip came out at 15p per mile - my Freelander costs me 17p per mile

p38 coolant leak from air con drain

O rings usually leak onto the carpet, if it IS coolant then it could well be the heater matrix :(
