    Value LandRover Defender 90

What's your feeling on what it's worth?

    How fast is you Landy?

By the looks of those photos, Dave's lucky to have a spinal cord left to be whiplashed! I dread to think what could have happened if the load on the back wasn't secured adequately upon impact, another thing I see far too much of. As an example I seen a D3 towing a tri axle trailer on the A5...

    42 year old discovery?????

Probably. There's been enough of them made.

    What size air compressor?

Agreed. Just make sure the compressor on the receiver tank has a half decent output. Keep in mind ofcourse that if in the future you do need/want more receiver storage of compressed air then you can link tanks together. I did this in my old unit. I had a SIP 150ltr linked to an old (but...

Prices for disco's taken a massive drop?

In all fairness GLASS guide is about 4k trade in and 5k start price in re-sale so you're on the money there. Just a sign of the current market really. :(

do i need to use fuel return pipe

No, you need a return, you can't just blank the return outlets off, if that's what you mean.

Prices for disco's taken a massive drop?

Only Disco 2s which are selling anything like 'well' at the moment seem to be the earlier ones to about 2001, and sub 3.5k. How much do you want for it, realistically?

    Diff Lock

So Farmer Giles get's all ****y because he hasn't spent some time trying to service the diff lock and gearbox ratio mech prior to having to use it? My heart bleeds. There's nothing wrong with the way it works, thousands of other people service it properly and use it without fault, or just leave...

    110 Defender Sill Replacement -How?

You can fabricate and rivet it if you want, after all it's not the most challenging of pieces to fabricate. Or you could get one from a breaker. I must admit I've not seen them in the aftermarket, but then I've never had to look for one.

    TD5/Puma Snorkel???

Fitting it was an absolute c**t of a job, due to the one sodding nut that you have to hold with your arm right up the wing. I can see why from a business perspective Safari have consolidated their products to have less options, and have multiple fitments, but the fact is the old style tube...

    Accurate Valuation needed

What spec is it? What mileage has it done? How many seats has it got? What MOT & Tax does it have on it? What sort of history have you got with it? Does it have any known issues with it? What's the condition of the chassis, rear x member, outriggers, & bulkhead? Is it standard or...

    gearbox trouble

There is indeed something wrong with the air suspension. This is putting the car in a limp mode so you don't **** anything up. As it's an L322 though it's a bit more of a complex beast, it'll need to be plugged in.

The reason I stopped taking acid some years ago, was so that I could avoid moments like this.

    Supercharged 200tdi

That's not technically true, not if you want to be pedantic about it anyway. It's more accurate to say it's akin to twin stage turbocharging, which involves two turbos but they operate differently. Twin turbo engines have been around for quite some years, and in their basic form are 2 same...

Any ideas for a business name?

As someone that's running their own business and has ran one before also, I'll offer my perspective. But before I do, I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. I hold anyone who has the balls to start up their own business with serious intent in the highest of regard, but facts are facts...

    Supercharged 200tdi

TBH a variable geometry turbo is the best way to go. You can get the best of both worlds then, higher top end boost and boost pretty much right from the bottom of the rev range. 2.8TGV engines which are essentially updated 300TDis use these, and the benefits in driveability are fantastic...

    Supercharged 200tdi

No, it doesn't work that way. The advantage of a turbocharger on a diesel is that it boosts harder and stronger when under load. With a supercharger you lose this. When a turbodiesel is just cruising at motorway speeds and not under heavy loads the exhaust gasses are not so dense and don't...
