    So much bloody Work

I was starting to worry that I had just got an especially bad one. How do you find the time to do other things apart form fixing them?

    Flashing Oil Light

Hi, The oil light has started to come on when I slow down or when the engine is ideling. It goes off if I give the engine a few revs. I have checked the oil level several times and it is fine so I am assuming it is an electrical fault. I am even more useless at vechicle electrics than I am with...

    I need help urgently!!!!!

That is indeed the one Mr Grunt. It looks bad but after a couple of days use I had to top it up with about 200-300 ml. I honestly thought the bloody box was losing loads. I am not fussed about the road getting oily I am just worried that I am going to destroy the transfer box and I will have...

    I need help urgently!!!!!

Hi again I have two final stupid questions. How much oil would the transfer box have to lose to start doing damage to the internals? There is another plate sort of next to the large sloping plate which is leaking now as well, it has seven bolts in it and it is sort of hidden up between the...

    I need help urgently!!!!!

Hi, Could somebody tell me how big a job is it to remove the transfer box and give it an overhaul. I don't actually know if it needs one but now that a couple of the gaskets are shagged and I think the box will need to come out anyway to replace it I was just thinking it might be worth doing if...

    I need help urgently!!!!!

I probably am mad but the problem is that I can't get a ring spanner or a socket on the bolt as there isn't enough clearance between the bolt head and the casing of the gearbox. I am not very good at describing what is going on it would appear.

    I need help urgently!!!!!

I have indeed decided to stop as it is just going down hill fast. I am in halfway between dundee and aberdeen so if anybody that may be able to help wants to come round and critisize my work then offer some assistance I would be delighted.

    I need help urgently!!!!!

I am confused Adz why am I mad? I am hard up but that hasn't become a problem yet. I can't get the plate off the transfer box as one of the bolts is hard against the casing so removing the drain plug won't help. I also seem to have a much bloody worse leak now from somewhere else on the transfer...

    I need help urgently!!!!!

There isn't enough clearance because it isn't the transfer boxl drain plug it is the drain plug with the wee plastic fliter in it for the gearbox and it is the actual casing not so much the plug itself. DIFFLOCK - 5 speed box Oil change it is number 3 on the diagram.

    I need help urgently!!!!!

The one I can't get out is up against the extension case drain plug and it is so tight against it I can't get a ring or socket on it:mad: I did try to take them out with the open ended spanner and I think I may of tightened the bolt first before I loosened:o it which caused it to shear, I am...
