    DSE Problem

My concern was that the engine was still running without the relay fitted. I thought that the engine would not run with the relay not fitted so did not think of checking it. Once the relay was out I could see that one of the legs had some sort of coating coming off of it hence changing it and...

    Front hub removal

Just finnished the job now and it was as you said a " sweating and cussing" type of job. In the end I put a jack under the hub and put the full weight of the car on to it and hit it with the big copper mallet and this gave a small crack which I soaked in wd40 whilst having some food. Cannot...

Upper tailgate required for 1988 classic

I will have one coming up in a couple of days. It was new inn 1998 when I bought the car but works fine. It is showing some surface rust but it has had silicone sealant fitted between glass and frame every year to stop ingress of water. If you can wait a while I am coming up your way in early...

    DIY test book for faults

Hi I think that you can on the Classic but not on the P38. Read somewhere that the classic flashes a light somewhere, dont know where, but the classic never went wrong, if it did a spanner would fix it but the P38 needs a laptop :-) Craig

    Koni adjustable shocks

By jumps / wobbles I take that it felt skitish? I had a classic with air suspension and that was the same as my P38's until I fitted springs. The ride on springs was so much better. I have been toying with the idea of fitting springs to the P38's but if these shocks cure the skitish feel of the...

    lpg

I agree. If the car runs OK why the need for a certificate? Do the insurance company ask for it? If they do surely all cars must have a certificate and no one could fit a system at home! So if car is running ok but no certificate, the price for the car would be cheaper and you still save on the...
