Well its not got much power it somtimes sticks In 1st gear and the rev counter stops working at 2500 rpm

I just want to get a decent landy that won't break down all the time I have been stung by 2 range rovers a p38 and an l322 so wat are they like as a all round towing car I have a N reg 300 tdi at the min and even that's got probs

sorry i mean the rev counter do you think the alternator is on its way out

evening all where does the speedo get its drive from on a 300 tdi myn has just started to "bounce" about 2500-600 rpm if i slow down it stays and reads normal . also where do 300 tdi engines lose water. ta lee

Is there any way of looking in the box without taking it out

I don't think its the clutch as some times its quite hard to move the stick through the gates and sometimes very easy

Any more idears please

Just found out it had a new clutch 7k miles ago any ideas please
