my 1985 landrover never had one 8ha (90)

hi lovly looking landy what axles have you got? 8ha

on my 1985 land rover it is definstly 5/6 NF possibly later ones were diferunt never had any thing to do with later ones being hgv/plant man

you can make a puller with 3/8 bit of plate with 2 holes drilled in it the same centers as steering wheel and 2 5/6 nf bolts and nuts I remove mine every night and put large coat over space to make it look like steering wheel is still there

I changed dual mass flywheel for standard flywheel on 2 year old transet pick up seems all good no noticabel difference than original dmf and a lot cheaper

don't realy know hgv/heavy plant man only had one v8 ninty with lt85 solid case box done 160000 only slight spline wear

is transfer gear box stillin gear? if you take r0und cover off back of transfer box at top of box you can see end of gear box out put shaft is is it still turning input gear of transfer box or have splines worn so badly it is freeweling

thanks for telling us don't know what to advice but no doubt others will

to make it easier to find out which has play put jack under swivel housing jack up till wheel off ground this will take all play out of swivel pins if wheel bearing slack you will see it as soon as you rock wheel put jack under swivel arm this will make swivel pins tight temperly

please let us know what you found when working right very interesting befor you buy new pipe you could if you can find some more pipe take supply pipe from pump to box undo pipe at box end join up other pipe let aim free end at power steering box resovior gey mole grips slowly squese pipe and...

some garages should be abel to check it if you live near an agricultural engineering place they should have pressure gauges to check hydraulicks if willing to do it
