Yeah I get what you mean, Matts got a few diff welders as he does lots of Stainless Steel & Alloy welding too. I'm going to ask him to teach me to weld anyway!

I looked at doing it - there's already a thread up that I started, you do realise 300s have electronic speedos? as opposed to 200s cable driven? plus all the heater stuff is different, brackets etc, I've decided to put up with mine until I can reloom the car! much easier!

This all confuzzles me, I have an Early K plate 200tdi, with I guess a factory fit alarm, that activates / de activates on the key, when I unlock/lock it (my indicators flash) it has an LED on the dash, and alarm sensors above the interior light. - its also got trigger sensors on the lock barrel...

Yeah that's the ones, I'm missing the mounts for them, when I took the aftermarket c**p ones out, I discovered there was no mounts to bolt them too :(

Cheers mate, boot floors been replaced by previous owner :D Inner wings are ok-ish it's that bit of rust in the pic (under the alpine) that concerns me tho! Lol Think a welder is on the cards and maybe a new section welded in, it's fine on the outside, so I'm guessing it's from a historic leak

Discovered some bad rust :( between Alpine & rear quarter window on the inside, think it's the alpine section mainly so wondering if LR do replacement panels?

Think the light units are about £190 each from John Craddocks Internet Site, I was going to see if I could retro fit them to a D1, but at that price no chance, as I'd kick myself if I broke one off roading!

Have a feeling it's down to G/Box - Transfer Box now, the Disco seems to top out speed wise at about 70/80 so would it possibly be a gearbox/transfer box from a defender?

and 31 10.5 r15s will fit 8j/10j as most Egay sellers only give the 15inch size :doh: Found a few on EBay, had to search Land Rover 15 wheels as mods are looking pricey! so found some others.
