    From a VW T4 to a defender 110

Welcome A VW T4 is a top piece of kit, when I had G Wagon a guest of the club used to occasionally turn up in his for off road events, it did very well! Very difficult to find a replacement so a 110 makes a great alternative.

    Door lock assembly

I put a britpart one in the passenger door last august for £15ish, a right fiddly little job, the doors now held shut with zip ties  I'm putting a real one this weekend £78. I might ask the wife to help as it's Valentines Day

    No headlights! Help

I had the same issue. The 110 failed outside the Natural History museum with 9 of us in it and a 240 mile trip ahead of us! The AA replaced the light switch and got me back on the road, the next day the lights went again and I replaced the relay behind the dash. the lights went again a few...

    Headlight upgrade which ones?

I recently put a set of Trucklites in my 110, I chose them as they look reasonably standard. A great improvement, less draw and therefore will reduce issues with the relay (on average I blow 1 every 6 months) well that's my excuse for buying them!!! On main beam they are great, so much so I...

    Stopped at Chester Services M56

To offer some hope the Police are doing something in Cheshire. I was stopped last night by Cheshire Traffic Police in my 110 G4 and asked for proof of identity as a red 110 had just been reported stolen in the area. I was quite happy to prove who I was. He told me to use the disc lock on the...

    Starter clicking once.

my TD5 started to do this very occasionally in june, the frequency of failures slowly increased (although it never failed to eventually start). I fitted a new starter August bank holiday and it'd never done it since, not a particularly expensive part and easy enough to do :)

New rules for driving in spain

I'm a bit concerned as I'm heading to Santander on the Ferry and using my TomTom app on the iPhone to find my way around. As I have traffic and speed cameras alert would that count as a detector? Who could I approach for a definitive answer?

    Any lanes in Cheshire

Aa far as I know all the lanes around Oulton Park had their status changed to restricted byway's a few years ago and to be honest they weren't any challenge even in a Ford Ka :) Best lanes are in North Wales and well worth the day trip.

    Morocco March 2016

Sound's like business as usual, I remember the wait well, however not to much to unpack on a motorcycle! Out of the 21 days we spent over there only came across 1 village where anyone tried to nick anything.Mind you we did keep the bike's in the hotel courtyard in Marrakech.

    Finally introducing

:welcome: For me, as a project it's got to be a Defender! But if the budgets tight you can get a lot of Discovery for the money.
