    ARB, Waen xd9000 install question

Assuming you have the non-bridged version, Yes mount it where ever you want, but you will have to have cables running from the solenoid to the winch. But keep the cables as short as possible. Ben

    Galvanised chassis modification?

A while ago I had a BMW which had a body kit, which was installed at the factory by BMW, was 100% genuine, which I didn't advise my insurance provider of as I didn't think I had to as it was with car from new! Even then they pulled the insurance after an accident and left me in a spot. I argued...

    Defender Names

I'm fairly adventurous with my naming as it ranges from "Defender" to "Land Rover" or depending on the person to whom I'm speaking with at the time - "car" or "4x4" ;)

    Defender A Frame

That's what I was thinking, but are all the new ones (after 2007) sold with AC? I've looked at the pics of the bumpers and they don't seem any different, could do with a real life new one.

    Defender A Frame

Hello all, I have been looking around at the Genuine Defender A Frames, part no VPLPP0061. And while they are not everyone's cup of tea, I like them, more so because they are Genuine items. Issue being I have a 1991 Defender, and they state that they fit 2007 model onwards. Any one...

    td5 dash

True, come to think of it I used the TD5 wiper also. But I don't think using the old one would have been a problem.

    td5 dash

Hi I did this about a year ago. The dash it's self goes in without a problem, fixes back OK. But the vent controls are different between the earlier and TD5 defenders which can causes a little bit of conflict when opening the vents fully. I fitted a Raptor dash so I had to cut the TD5 fascia...

Wading Kit in a V8 Defender

Thanks guys, that's cleared that up. I plan to waterproof as much as possible and just see how it goes, not looking at sub mariner stuff, just a little deeper than 500mm. I'll let you all know how I get on - sink or swim.....

Wading Kit in a V8 Defender

Perfect thanks James. One down, bellhousing any one? I have found two threaded holes at the very bottom of the bellhousing (which are fully of mud and slush) very close together would these be them? I'll get some pics....

Wading Kit in a V8 Defender

Thanks for the responses. I may well be going the mega-squirt route, as I know of the issues with V8's and water. But for now I'm trying to plumb in the breathers as I have them and its in bits, engine is out next. I know where the timing case and bellhousing breathers are on a diesel...

Wading Kit in a V8 Defender

Hi All, Hoping someone here can help me out as my searching is proving fruitless, and its becoming tedious. I'm installing a new breather kit to my 1991 3.5L V8 defender 110. Axle breathers - no problem got. Transfer box and gear box, also fine. Timing case - don't need one here, as its...

    The amazing self-opening door!!!!

sounds like the latch is on the way out, and the pressure generated from motorway speeds pops it open, that and the vibration and movement.

UK National Speed limits for a Defender?

Doesn't age affect this also? Something about all newer Defenders being commercial vehicles, and commercials being cheap to tax, but restricted in speed, and other stuff.

    shall i do it ?

Surely it depends what you want out of your vehicle? Off road ability, easy to mod? Comfort, quite, economy, luxury? Are you happy with the Disco? If it were me I wouldn't have a Disco in the first place, I think they are nice vehicles n all, but Defender is were I'm at. Course for Horses...
