The battery is only used to start the car, once started the alternator provides all the electrical power. Put a multi meter across it when the engine is running to see what volts it's putting out. Is your car petrol or diesel?

Put a new calliper piston and dust seal on , slapped a bit of rust paint on the calliper while it was off.

Had a reply from the Ebay advert 'Thanks but sold many like this, all you need to do is heat the plastic pipe to refit, thanks Ian' Well, there you go....

Does the exhaust have a smell of coolant when the white smoke is there? When the white smoke is coming out, put your hand near the pipe to get some fumes on it, Taste the condensation on your hand, if its sweet its coolant It could just be condensation in the exhaust system, which doesn't...

repositioned everything as it should be, the slave cylinder doesn't wiggle as much now, So all good. However I think it is a half arsed flimsey effort on land rovers part.......
