    Thanks teddywood1 Car went through the mot no probs! Still not got round to stripping rear brakes. The mild screeching noise no occurs almost constantly. However the noise stops as soon as I put the slightest pressure on the hand brake. Weird!

    Thanks guys. Tried to get a look at the freelander over the weekend but seaside and good weather beckoned :) Going to strip the rear drums this weekend to check and compare both sides. Now have a mild screeching noise that disappears when stopped.
