any filter will do as long as you change them regularly ive even used filters for jcb no problems.

i would go for the corroded pins on the plug.

hi, i would check the wires coming from the door to the car there in the rubber gromit,i had same problem my wires were all corroded,if the rubber isnt on right water gets into the wires,and make sure you always turn the interior lights off via the centre button,because you might come out one...
