Goto your nearest BMW parts desk and ask for part number 11127799367. They call it an oil seperator. It replaces the standard lr part that requires changing at every service. this one you can fit and forget. Easy to fit, its just infront if the air filter housing, bout half hour job. Hope this helps

who says the freelander isnt capable, pulled 3 cars up my street hill this morning 6 inches of snow, td4 wasnt fazed. but it is funny seeing people drive 5mph in there 4x4

if you mean the top hose that goes from the coolant header i think its about 12-14mm internal diameter (could be wrong) if you mean the thermostat bottom hose its 35mm ID. Thats on the TD4 anyway

that would be the TD4 BMW M47 engine

even if you do that would you still not have to remove the the land rovers stat? cos if you did then you may aswell replace it anyway.

word of advice on changing the drop links, remove both at the same time instead of just leaving one on while changing the other, that way you can make sure your roll bar is centralised and line up the holes on each end of the roll bar with the stud thread on the bottom end of drop link

dont see any of that, it started just as i had a coolant leak, so obviously the leak has damaged something.

is it me or is the gear nob for the auto td4 welded on or summit? trying to get the bugger off and it wont budge, i dunno weather it needs screwing or pulling :doh:

i hear so many issues with the TD4 warm air situation, as posted above could be a number of things to check, ive tried everything other than the thermostat and i can never get warm air, takes 20 mins on fast idle jst to get luke warm, i get sufficant warm air through the footwells but the dash...

for footwell lamps i used these 2 x New 24 LED 24cm strip light for all style car green | eBay but i didnt hook these upto the interior light, i did it straight from battery with a switch mounted on the dash so i can use them as and when i please :)

Thermostat?? The TD4 do have a large radiator and so is a cold running engine (weather not helping i know) Do you have the FBH fitted?

regarding what chaser said about the crankcase breather, go for the fit and forget BMW one. Also one of your injectors maybe causing the pinking

they work in the same manner as the main interior light does, so if i were to walk out to car in the morning and unlock the car, they light up, i then get in the car (as you do) start the engine and then the lights go out. Park up, switch off, open door, lights come on, get out, then lock doors...

So you can fit the standard fogs from the facelift model onto earlier freelander?

Do you mean its struggling to accelerate? You could have a split, loose or disconnect intercooler hose?

A few weeks ago i found a leak on the TD4, it was coming from the radiator hose that goes to the block just under the intake manifold, i need a new gasket, so that now sorted. But water did run down onto the belt and it became squeeky, since the leak has been fixed it doesnt squeek as much...

Yeh it was only mm and when i tried moving it with a bit of force I slightly indented the pipe, anymore and i could of broke. I couldn't even move it that much to get it clear of the stat, so when I try again I might just try to undo more bolts.
