no wammers it is old pump with new seal and cylinder,valve block is brand new,and pumps been running alot and getting hot,but pump seemed a bit lifeless running,when i took pump out yesterday to do block it was red hot coud'nt touch it.

yeah i'm not too far from rpi engineering,but you have to wonder if a second hand one will be any better than i got?if i pull this off i'll deserve my holiday.

yeah holiday is today,the only thing i can think is the pump has been getting pummeled with heat ,it did finally run for 10 mins last night got hot cut out did put a little air in but not noticable untill i pulled a pipe out of valve block.

if you got hydraulic LIFTERS they may need bleeding most bmw petrols need this after an oil change,run car at 3/4 of what she'll rev to in neutral for 5 minutes repeat i nequired,used to work on a 328i i used to have and got this info from a bmw forum were a dealer had uploaded info sent to them...

i'm lost, i'm sure everything with the pump went proper,i did pump the other day and it ran alot quieter than before but still ran for too long which suggested another leak:doh: done leak check nothing, but car drops slightly overnight with boot open,should i try another pump ? or shall i torch it?

were do i start fitted new valve block today p38 spares £500 job now the car wont pump up,removed pump and inspected piston and seal that i fitted two days ago all good,but pump has been running for long periods due to leaks and when i took it out today to swap block over the pump was too hot to...

will double check all lines and tank in a bit,do you know if you have to do an eas reset if you have the block out,just wondering coz my car does'nt seem to quick on throwing dash faults,before i did the sacks i could drive on the bumpstops with no eas fault on dash and i'm not getting any fault...

cheers kooky guy done your tailgate open trick and she had gone down allround about 1/2 inch,checked drier yesterday,so must be internal leak in block,as i said before going on holiday to devon from norwich thats lots of miles and i dont want to to leave her behind nor pay some hire car weasles...

pump runs for minutes at a time then shuts off then on again then when i think it gets hot it cuts out for a while,pump was done yesterday with the dutch ebay kit,will do your tailgate open thing overnight see how goes,cheers for your thought on it.

hi kooky guy you are suffering from lack of hours in the day,i'm glad i'm not the only one,just to clarify air springs x4 done 6-8 weeks ago,pump rebuilt yesterday,no faults on dash have'nt had it pluugged in,does'nt go down over night(would it if valve block is suspect).pump is getting very hot...

not for me to slag people off but i did'nt buy my chip from them, 99.9%of garages were also trained in being gangsters when they learnt to swing spanners,tvr heads i think is what that crazy bowler company use and they sure get some horses,might want to fit a big brake kit if you go that...
