Hi Guys...have had no cold air coming from the aircon since I bought the Disco 6 months ago. Since the summers coming, I got it regassed and fitted a new pump / compressor (mechanic told me it was shot), but still no cold air? ECON button is off...fan is blowing but compressor just won't click...

Turns out it was left wheel bearing. Replaced with new one and all well.

Coil conversion was done yesterday. From what I see, there's no noticeable different versus air. The ride feels fine. Seen lots of posts where guys were saying that coils weren't as comfortable etc...but I can't feel any difference. Just wish I had done it as soon as the SLS started to act...

Guys...by following graham's youtube vid I was able to do this. Lighting up fine now.

Hi Guys just an update on this. Took it to a local mechanic and he traced to the problem to corroded wiring at the front of the disco just behind the grill. Wiring replaced now and sensor working fine, so all is well.

Hi Guys...finally had enough of the SLS on my Disco. Just spent 350quid on a new compressor and 2 mechanics later the car still sitting on the ground. Anyway...I think life would be simpler and more reliable with coils. Compressor going onto Ebay and going to cut my losses. So...anyone got...

Hi Guys...I noticed when driving I've had to keep a small amount of right hand weight on the steering wheel otherwise my Disco veers off to the left. Also there's more road noise when driving straight, if the road bends round to the left the road noise disappears. I've had it to the same place...

Hi Guys...no luck with this! the new Ambient Sensor arrived and I replaced but the outside temp reading on the Air Con Panel still says -30c? Any ideas on next step? Thanks...Tom

Chaps...just an update I've settled on 30psi in the front and 42psi in the rear as a compromise and it seems to not have adversely affected the ride comfort. Both pressures are mid way between recommended. Tom

Thanks Chaps....some good advice and ok I'll stick to the 32/ 38 like Dave says. I'm happy the vibe seems to be that switching to 16" in search of ride comfort is not all its cracked up to be. I think I'll get a tyre pressure monitor and make sure I've got 32 / 38 when cold rather than after...

Graham...actually do you have the part numbers for both the dash lights and also the clock....its not lighting up either. Thanks...Tom

Paul...you could be right, although I don't think there's a temp sensor inside the car? Any ideas what could be causing the wacky readings and any idea of a fix? Cheers
