    Too much play when steering

Sounds like it's just steering box wants tightening. Put front end on axle stands, get somebody to turn the steering from lock to lock,as you slowly tighten the adjustment screw on top of the box. You just loosen the lock nut, and then you'll need an allen key to wind the screw in. put it back...

    How Reliable is a defender???

Oh well maybe i've just got a bad disco then, reckon it was made on a fri afternoon!;) How comfortable is driving 90/110 on long runs? That's the only thing that puts me off them really, love em from the outside, but do they do your head in on long runs? (The agricultural feel to em) Thanks

    How Reliable is a defender???

Well thanks for all the replies. Well it's fine when it's running, but it's just that i fix 1 problem and i'm straight onto the next. Wondered if defender owners feel the same way?

    How Reliable is a defender???

Hi i'm thinking about getting rid of my disco, and was wondering how reliable is 90 or 110. When i fix summat on the disco, something else soon rears it's head. Are the defenders the same, just as you fix summat your straight onto the next problem? Also i've heard the 110's aren't great...

    Wheel bearing hub

Thats very good of you, my concern about drilling it was if the drill ran off slightly and damaged the threads, cause i'll be buggered then!! So i think i'll give the other way a go, and if i get stuck with that, then go down the stud extractor route. Thanks

    Vibration & Clunking Disco

I've recently had vibration and clunking noises, mine turned out to be propshaft uj, was absolutely knackered! I wouldn't of said it came through the engine though, but it did vibrate through the car. It also made an awful grinding noise up and down steep hills, aswell as a clunking noise, it...

    D'uh whats the diffrence 200tdi 300tdi?

Do a search, theres been a thread on this recently, that might have some useful answers for you. but the biggest give away from the outside is headlights. The 200 has got black round the edge of the headlights, where as 300 hasn't, which makes them slightly bigger. Hope this makes sense!! And...
