Vibration & Clunking Disco

Hi All Another problem, I get vibration through the car but it seems to be caused by the engine (Disco 1994 Mpi), also a clunking when I change gear I have not checked anything yet I would like to know what to look for or check any advise would be appreciated regards Len

I've recently had vibration and clunking noises, mine turned out to be propshaft uj, was absolutely knackered!

I wouldn't of said it came through the engine though, but it did vibrate through the car. It also made an awful grinding noise up and down steep hills, aswell as a clunking noise, it was worst when it was taking up the drive.

So i'd check them first, just grab hold of the propshaft at each uj in turn, and try moving it up and down, side to side. if it moves then you need a new uj.
