i had a similar problem to this only with a diesel. it turned out to be the solenoid ontop of the starter motor.. i replaced both becuase it was overdue a new one. its probably just a wild stab in the dark but hopes this helps :)

the insa turbo 'dakar' look identical to the old bf MT so the man at paddock said. They look mint at 265/75/16 and thats before i've got them on.hopefully tomorrow :) i'll let you what its like on the road.

this is true :) just been to look at the job, instead of using 3 relays would be it possibly to use a 60 amp relay for the roof bar?(4 lights wired together) will that be the end of the problem or do i need to replace both relays and the light stalk?

yes i think so. the wipacs are earthed on the wingtop edge and the light bar is earthed next to the fuse box inside the cab.

there's 2 relays supplied by an inline fuse from the battery i wired them through the bonnet to the high beam just behind the headlight. (where the previous ring lights were on the A bar)

the wipacs are 100w and the ring are 55w i think the relays are 30 amps and the inline fuse is 30amps :)

The wiring kits from paddock are alot better and half the price and the diagram is simple :) think it cost around 6 quid.
