    Piant job.

Its not really orange peely close up, and cant see any of the usual respray tells, very consistent paint inside doors, under bonnet, behind trims etc. Was said once as its index doesn't sometimes show up on those automated reg finder websites that it was Keith Gott dealer ex MOD but never...

    Bleedin' brakes.

Next mission. 2004 TD5 110 Just passed the MOT. Was surprised as I think the brakes are poor. I bleed them twice with a pressure air kit but still spongy. pads ok, rotor's slightly lipped but not too bad. Caliper pistons seem a little corroded but not bad. Was just pondering a general overhaul...

    Piant job.

Well I have a great dilemma with the blue beasty. 2004 TD5 110. Ever since I've owned the 110, the paint on the doors has been peeling off. Front door first, then rear, back panel, now passenger side. I ask myself if the factory paint job was defective and whether in time the whole vehicle will...

    Battery, shortened life.

Its a TD5 2004, battery been in at least 5 years. Bought from my local LR independent/enthusiast garage. have cleaned the terminals for a good 6 months, and the starter earth strap hasn't been touched in 2 years! Guess i'll be under it next week. Cheers.

    Battery, shortened life.

My fault as only do home to the station most days. longer runs maybe once a month or less. Frequency of getting a flat battery is increasing, guess I don't do the mileage after each start to recharge the amount taken to start it (especially this time of year) Was thinking of going big on a new...

Gear and transfer box fluid filler.

Der, its a TD5, its a torx bit. Just checking levels really. Short story, new clutch, mass fly, everything. Now get bad vibes when in gear going up the revs, its back in garage next week for a check but thought it prudent to check as much as poss before, fluid levels, props, mounts, etc.

How noisy should my new clutch be?

so the 110 has been back in the garage today for a look, nothing loose underneath so is probably the dualmass flywheel playing up.. Getting it booked in next week for a proper look. Mechanic had a 'look' with a pry bar and then adjusted the thing that sets pressure. going to drive a bit see if...

How noisy should my new clutch be?

The garage said it is a Valeo kit including the dual mass flywheel. Checked under, prop shafts, exhaust all seem good.

How noisy should my new clutch be?

Had the lot changed as the release bearing was waking up the street every morning. Now the kit seems very noisy, had everything done including the flywheel. Going to get it back to them end of the week, but was wondering how it should sound, maybe its a vibration as well. Nothing on tick...

Flywheel will be a few quid to I expect?

    TD5 clutch, what choices?

Have the clutch done this week, as its on its last legs, feels and sounds like it anyway. What to do as a replacement? Not really sure what the options are in terms of quality, price? Do a little of everything, motorway, green lanes, towing. Any thoughts? its an 04 TD5.

    AA just towed me home!

so the garage has sorted the fuel pump. It has caused an issue in the ECU, how can this be I wonder? Shame as its only 2 years old, the ECU that is.

    AA just towed me home!

So he died about 500 meters from home. AA guy did a few checks, says its the fuel pump. Can I check myself, How? A fuse or something else? Do I need to do the hole in the floor thing? Have got a plastic boat hatch kicking about? What make of pump should I go for? Is there a choice even...
