    yeah had to jump it as the battery was really drained. just thought if the overheating was the head gasket it would overheat driving it to. but only does it when ticking over

    ok cool what fuse is the fuel pump i dont have a book with list of fuses, and no the fan sounds like a wirl wind from the minute i start driving to the moment i stop. earlier i was driving it stopped for about 15 secs then carried on making the noise for about a hour after.

    ok i have spoke to the last owner as the range rover used to be for sale on here he said it is overdue a oil change as its the hydrolic tappets making the noise. he suggested 5w 40. but i will probably go for 10w 40 to be safe. along with a full service
