    I did and thought I'd lined it up on reassembly. It was this mark that I got it to start with but it was doing that hunting and black smoking.

    No, sorry mate, the spring pressure pushed it out as I backed the bolts out a bit at a time and once the o-ring was visible I stopped.

    Okay, well that's encouraging then, I had it on cam and only took the pressure head out to the point that I could access the o'ring.. I'll have a good look next Saturday which is the first chance I'll get and start again with the quantity servo. Cheers again, Andy.

    Yep because when it first started but was hunting and black smoking it would rev up, just too eagerly, if that makes sense. It was like the pump was too far advanced so I backed it off, then got nothing so brought it back the other way a bit and again, nothing.

    P38A Another leaking diesel fuel injection pump.

    HI Dopey, As previously said, the EDC seal is not included in the full kits available (I know, I have one) and having spoken to a bosch specialist, Bosch themselves do not offer this seal so I need to find something to replace it with from an alternative source. Cheers, Andy.
