For the belt tension i was always told that it should be tight enough so that you can twist the belt 90 degrees in the centre of the longest belt run.

oh one more question... Any ideas where i can get a replacement power steering reservoir? Iv found this (POWER STEERING RESERVOIR ) but it is totally different to the current reservoir.. is this simply an updated version?

Recently I got my first defender and its been giving me a lot of grief. I want to learn to do all this myself so if you dont mind i need to aska few questions... There is a grinding noise when the engine starts and stops driving, ie when putting the clutch in or out or speeding up or slowing...

Hi guys. I have had a gearbox leak on my 90 for a while but has only been minimal and has been booked in to a garage for tomorrow to get a few other things done on warranty so Iv put off changing the seals. However yesturday decided to fill up the gearbox to find it 1 litre down... Not good...
