Hi Fanatic, have you got any further with this yet? I notice there seems to be more and more of these faults being reported. I have the same problem but only from time to time. How many complaints have to be made and to whom before this issue is looked at by the manufacturer?

I suspect that the RAVE CD will list servicing, normally shown as a table, that you will have to run through to see what things are in addition to certain mileage. LR hourly rates are in excess of £75 so it doesnt take long to get to a £1000.

Sounds like a BECM failure, this is located under the drivers seat, they are not generally interchangable so have a search on the forum as I have seen somewhere about having these repaired, possibly by a company called carelect demon?

Are you sure they didnt say that the constant velocity joint boot had split? This would make sense if they are working on the axle.
