Yes that's what I had read, this guy with the 3.9 says its run on gas all its life its only got a 2 gallon petrol tank it was running fine when parked up

Ye wammers confirmed that also it all comes down to how much my mechanic wants for his engine all my new heads and gaskets are going on it but coming from a 96 disco I know it will have done more mileage than mine, mi poor baby

Ok so my engine is goosed and my mechanic has suggested that he can sell me his discovery 3.9 engine my engine is a 4.0 so will it drop into my car with no problems, or am I as well getting one from eBay. Cheers guys

The girlfriend was in it at the time says she just lost power then it died and saw abit of what she said was steam,when I got there there was a kind of burnt oily smell there was oil on the floor but then again it has got a weep coming from the front crank seal so that might not be significant...

Ok so my p38 has broke down on the m1 motorway tonight and from the sounds of it my engine is goosed, so my question is I know of a 4.6 going relatively cheap but mine is a 4.0 so will a 4.6 go in where a 4.0 was with no mods to be carried out.thanks for any info. Chris

Well its one job crossed of my list, I just bought walnut trims for the interior cos it doesn't have all of them fitted, ,why would u have some and not all unless some one replaced them crappy plastic ones, , cheers
