Well done the fan test and I think that's the culprit ,it'll stop with a bit of cardboard when engine is hot .are the "bolt on bits " fans any good?. Will test the water pump later just in case that's also on it's way out

Well its been checked and there's no air lock ,I can only think either partially blocked rad or water pump .thing I don't understand is before I put thermostat in it didn't get hot and now it constantly runs hot ,I've even got to thinking viscous fans not working properly .is there anyone up...

Well it's gone from not budging of cold to needle sitting just on the edge of red for past 100 mile ,what I've I done wrong .when I changed thermostat I only disconnected the pipe that goes into top of radiator ,could I have got an air lock?

The heater is a lot hotter than before I fitted it ,before I fitted it the heater was hardly warm at all would say about 30c

To my knowledge and the service history it isn't a replacement engine ,before putting new thermostat in the gauge didn't even move from rest

Warm and sunny ,got a 100 drive back to Penrith tomorow ,so I'll either get there no problems or on the back of a recovery truck

Just done about 40 mile and needle settled at 3/4 just on the edge of the White on the dial ,does the collective think that will be ok ?

Well fitted new thermostat yesterday fitted A bar and spots this morning ,going to wire them in when brains working ,might AstroTurf roof shortly

Got a weeping seal on my 200tdi 90 ,I've got a new seal but I'm 100mile from my tool kit so was just going to top up my gearbox oil and was just wondering is it ep90 that I use?

It's not run hot ,I drive 100 down motorway to visit my son and the gauge will bearly reach even the White on the gauge

If it starts been silly should I remove it?

Put a new thermostat in ,it just baffled me why there wasn't one in .will give it a good run tomorow and see what it doe's

Just gone to replace my thermostat ,thing is gasket was there but no thermostat ,is there any reason why someone would take it out ?(only owned this 200 tdi for a month)
