Does anyone know the correct Tyre pressure for my freelander? Its a 1999 XDI 2.0 ltr diesel. The Manual says 26psi but thats for a smaller 195 tyre. I have 215/65 R16V fitted

Its very strange that I needed a new Diff a couple of weeks ago thats when the mechanic said we need x4 new tyres. Would the faulty Diff have made the tyres wear down or would the tyres have made the Diff Go??

I thought that was the case, but just wanted to make sure. I was worried it may have had something to do with the tread and after just forking out £650 to have a new Diff fitted I wanted to make sure I'm putting on the correct tyres.

Thanks Steve Its definetly the Diff, the drive shaft had almost popped out and the bearings were shot.

Just phoned the garage to ask what made the Diff fail and he said that there was hardly any oil in it and what there was had probably been in there since it was new!! I aked him to check the VCU and he said that it was fine and did not need changing. I have found a company that supplies...

I have an annoying rattle when I speed up from low revs in any gear. It sounds like its coming from underneath the car. I have been under the car and shook everything to no avail. Any ideas anyone?

It does not squeal when reving only on the pull away. I'll try the WD40 on my new belt before I take it off again and try pulling away without it on to see if it still makes a noise. If it does someone said it could be the Clutch Bearing/Spigot, if it is that is it hard to fix?
