Search for "leak back test", on here and on any of the Rover owner's forums, there is a simple way to check your injectors to see if one is failing, and which one (it's unusual for all to go at once), you can then just swap one injector and get your vehicle back working again for less money :)

The FBH has a few known faults, usually resistors on the main board, a cheap fix if you google "French Mike" ;) It only uses around 0.1 litres an hour, or every 30 minutes, so that's not your fuel consumption problem. Bad fuel economy is more likely due to problems like the EGR being bunged...

OK, I'm confused... What is the actual problem you are trying to resolve? I understand you do not have the standard radio head unit fitted any more, and that the standard connector is not plugged into anything. Other than that, I'm at a loss.

This is on the MGZT - 75 site, but it's the same engine, same technique should work :) If you want to test the cam sensor, buy a tin of freeze spray, get the engine hot so it wont start, spray the sensor and try to start it, if it goes then you have a dodgy cam sensor :) They are very easy...
