What have you done to your Freelander today

Sorry don't know about the cost as my wife got it me for my birthday. It is easy enough to fix, even a beginner like me can do it.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Fixed a "ticking" sound that was coming from underneath. It was the handbrake cable that wasn't behind the clip so it was catching. And put her propshaft back on after changing the support bearings a few weeks ago.

Oiled up my bumpers too, looks great and it's really cheap. You should have seen the wife's face when I got the baby oil out of the shopping bag.

    freelander help

Took a few goes for me to get used to filling mine 2002 td4 up. The nack is to have it hanging out a bit instead of going in deep.

    Whirring/whining noise under bonnet

I have had a similar problem, where mine made a quiet ticking noise which sounded like it was coming from below the centre console. I initally thought it was the IRD, then I thought it could be inner CV joints. Turns out it is the handbrake cable catching on the hub and the sound is travelling...

    Cleaned Inlet Manifold and now..............

I have just cleaned out my inlet manifold, refitted and taken for a test drive. Now my freelander has no acceleration when you put your foot down and is spewing black/grey smoke from the back. What have done wrong? Or is this a side affect of cleaning and will improve? Thanks

What have you done to your Freelander today

My Wife bought me one of those for xmas, but when we opened the box there was no fixings or rubber wedges. We went back to the LR Stealer who was adamant that the fixings were in a different pack, but didn't know the part no. They were still arguing the toss even after I produced pictures...

    Squeaking from IRD/Pinion

No, taking the Prop off has had no effect. Was having the IRD bearing changed expensive?

    where ?

This thread caught my eye, my TD4 doesn't have a FBH and its quite annoying how long it takes to warm up and demist sometimes. So reading that I might have a PTC is good news. Although if I have one its not working. I have both the mini fuse box and relay under the bonnet. Is the heater...

    Td4 problems

My td4 makes the same sound. I was told by the chap that I bought it off that it's because a cheaper fuel pump has been fitted instead of a very very expensive LR one.
