Carrying a motorbike on the back of a landy?

I second that, we too have a Dave Cooper bike rack, must have had it for 15 years now, used to carry trials bikes all over the place every weekend, great kit they are. Also, not that it makes much difference on the back of a land rover, but my dad has had the bolt on section on his towbars since...

    Clutch pedal/master cylinder problem?

Evening all, thought Id ask on here if anyone has any idea, tried searching but didn't really get anywhere. Anyway, I bought a 200 TDi 90 on a K about 3 weeks ago. Basically, the clutch pedal sits where it should with your foot off it, but when you press it, it only travels about 1/3 of the way...

    Is it worth going?

Thanks for the advice! I think the main reason I'm worrying is because I need to do the usual welding before MOT time in April, and I haven't been anywhere dirty for a few weeks so I've got it pretty clean underneath ready for working on. I think il leave it this time, then once it's all welded...

    Is it worth going?

Thanks for the reply. I had a quick look on YouTube and it did look muddy and wet, but I thought well it could be dry normally.. I think il leave it and go to Cowm one day. At least I know that place with taking trials bikes, and stick to dry areas. Thanks.

    Is it worth going?

Evening all, a friend of mine has just invited me to join him at a P&P site next sunday in Wigan, Lancashire. I believe it's called Willdor? I have a standard 300 TDi Disco. I bought the car for a comfy daily driver, doing the odd mild green lane every now and again, which I enjoy and so far...

Deciding whether to keep it or not

I'm going to have to weld mine up before the MOT in April, usual inner wings, sills, read arches and a little in boot floor. I've thought about getting rid of mine and buying another, but then I think what's the point? If you buy another chances are its going to be rotting away in the same...

Is their anything wrong with an 18mm socket?

Apologies, a while since I've used imperial tools.

Is their anything wrong with an 18mm socket?

PS. Imperial size 11/16 would also fit an 18mm :)
  16. SteDisco

Is their anything wrong with an 18mm socket?

It's because it's an uncommon size. If they can miss a few out which the consumer is unlikely to use anyway then it saves them money and can sell the socket set at a lower price. As mentioned above, 16 is also missed out sometimes, along with 1 or 2 others. There's no discrimination towards...

    National Brand clutches

We fit National clutches 9 times out of 10 for customers and not had 1 that has failed prematurely or caused any quality related problems. If I was fitting a new clutch in my Disco I wouldn't have any worries fitting a National clutch. Hope that helps :)

Hello from not so sunny Blackpool!

Hey all, as you can probably guess by the username, I'm Steve and I've just bought my first Land Rover, a 97 Disco 300 TDi. I'm more of a classic Ford man, but I went off roading with a mate of mine in his Disco a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. I was amazed at what a standard Disco is...
