Hi everyone, Discovery 1 300tdi 1995 Having just completely stripping and rebuilding my A127i-100 alternator I notice the regulator on old and new head an S terminal. Does anyone know why land rover did not use it and is it worth running a cable to the battery for it? Just wondering

I assume icv100000 is the input oil seal and both the output oil seals are the same (FTC4939) Also, do I need two of the frc7439

Cool, thanks. I was going to just remove the transfer box. I'm guessing I need New stake nut Collapsible tube The two o rings Rtv Input oil seal Dummy shaft? Bearings? If you know the numbers for the o rings of appreciate it.

Okay. I'll try it that way. It's how I used to do it when I was younger. I've got the intermediate shaft o rings to do at some point too :(

How tight? Sorry mate. When I do this it has no play in when I've finished. Now 4 or five months on these new bearings now have play?

Okay, I was just following the the workshop manual. When you say tighten the second nut fully..... What does that mean exactly?

I checked my front bearings today and they both have play again. Am I to assume that both the stub axles need replacing or am in doing it wrong?

I've bought some proper 8mm fuel hose rather than the crappy silicone thing that kept splitting. It seems to be working now. Thanks

That was a spot of luck. It was speed mainly as I needed the car. Also, I have the same year defender and that doesn't have one? So I thought I'd do without it.

Found the banging. Sedimented bracket broken and hanging on fuel pipes. Decided the easiest thing would be too bypass it. One of the gland nuts refused to undo so after 3 hours I took the hack saw to it. It doesn't seem to want to seal up now with 8mm hose. Is there a way of joining the rigid...

Measured mine... 55mm I'm afraid. Are you sure the rust on the body bit hasn't just bubbled up and making it look less? Just a thought.....

Stripping 1995 discovery doors of anyone interested in any thing. :)

All stripped now but obviously now not needed. Glad you got them sorted. I've attached a couple of photos just for the sake of it. Any one want any discovery 1 door parts let me know :)
