Cheers guys - reassuringly, it sounds like normal behaviour then.

When driving at leisurely pace, I move off by slipping 1st gear to neutral to 2nd and all is smooth. On occasion, I have accelerated more quickly from the off, shifting from 1st to 2nd without the pause at neutral. Sometimes it goes to 2nd gear smoothly, but on occasions it graunches horribly...

I`ve just bought four 8 x 15 black modular steels to put on my 90, which I hope to fit next week. The 90 came with 7 x 15 alloys. Is it the case that the studs in use now, won`t fit the steels?

Seen these on sevaral Landies, and some not particularly challenge vehicles either. The question i ask is `Are they an extreme activity accessory, or do they have a valid function on mostly road going with some offroad playtime vehicles?` I like the look of them, but dont wanna look too posy ;)

griffdowg......in the instructions that came with the bulbs it did say the green inserts could be removed but if so could never be put back. Also, it looked as tho` if you did remove the green insert the orifice (oooer) would be too big to accept the bulb. So I left them in. I`ll look again and...
