    Freelander 1 12S caravan eletrics.

Hi. I have a 2004 TD4 which has a towbar and trailer electrics but I want to fit the grey 12S electrics so I can tow a caravan. I think the part I need is STC50459. Anyone know if this will be suitable for my LHD vehicle and if anybody has fitted it before, is it a complex job, any tips? Thanks...

    Freelander 1 Tailgate not opening

Update. I've managed to prove my theory by joining the 2 heated rear window connectors together so the circuit is complete and the door lock works perfectly now. This might be useful to other people having tailgate lock problems. I still need advice as to how to bond the connector back to the...

    Freelander 1 Tailgate not opening

Managed to prise away the cover enough to allow me to hook a finger in and release the lock actuator. Cheers Nodge. Next thing is, the door lock is still not working. I have noticed that one of the heated rear window connectors that is bonded to the rear window has become detached. A brief read...

How do I get to the lock actuator with the tailgate shut? There is a black plastic cover over the back of the lock mechanism.

    Freelander 1 Tailgate not opening

Hi I have a 2004 TD4. Tailgate latch has been making a squeek on opening for some time but working fine. Took the interior tailgate panel off today to inspect but could see nothing. Opened and closed a couple of times and squirted a bit of WD40 on the latch mech as things get very dry and dusty...

    Freelander 1 Paint colour

I can't find a paint code anywhere on my 2004 TD4 Sport. I've checked the b pillars and the slam panel. Can anyone tell me the paint colour? It's sort of a cross between green and grey.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Haldex unit.

I have a Freelander 1 and know that during the MOT brake test, a wheel on the untested axle should be allowed to spin so as not to cause transmission wind up and damage to the transmission. Is the same true for the Freelander 2 with the Haldex diff?

    Freelander 1 Seat belt.

Seller doesn't know if it's for a 3 or 5 door. Part no. Is EVB500730PMA. Anyone know if that fits a 3 or 5 door? Cheers.

    Freelander 1 Seat belt.

Cheers Nodge. Just the belt. It's wearing through where it's been moving backwards and forwards along the rail fixed to the floor. Seen one on ebay but the seller doesn't state 3 or 5 door and has not responded yet to my enquiry.

Thanks for the advice. Have an 800km round trip to do over the next 3 days so hope the old pump lasts out!!

    Freelander 1 Fuel pump

Thanks Arctic2. I have been draining the sedimenter but I must admit, probably only once a year. Was Pierburg the manufacturer of the original pump? I've found an OEM Mahle pump and filter for less than half the price of the Pierburg. Is that worth a try?

    Freelander 1 Fuel pump

The low pressure pump under the wheelarch on my 2004 TD4 has become more noisy than usual over the last few days. I assume this means it's on it's way out and needs replacing? Has anyone had any experience of the cheaper none genuine pumps for about £30, or am I wasting my money?

    Freelander 1 Window regulator

Don't want to fit a second hand window regulator and the new ones I have found here in Spain are more expensive than the UK, even adding on postage costs. I've never paid import duty on any parts I've ordered from the UK.

    Freelander 1 Window regulator

Thanks Stuart but need it before then. I was asking if anyone new of a good supplier, quite happy to have it posted from the UK.

    Freelander 1 Window regulator

Hola Replaced the cables last time the window stopped working and had a good 12 months or more out of them. This time, the cables are all a bit twisted, so think I need to replace the whole thing, minus the motor, which runs very well. The 4 plastic pulleys look worn. Any suggestions as to where...
