how did you line the clutch up. by eye or by the kit. you only need to be a fraction out to cause problems.have you fitted a new clutch plate, if so are the number of splines the same as input shaft.just a couple of ideas but worth a look. also. if you can find a couple of longer bolts, place...

could well be just the bias plate. ours broke. not too difficult to replace. cost about 7 quid. ron.

as already mentioned, keep up the servicing(do not cheap skate on parts) they will last well. we only do about 400 450 mls a month but no trouble (so far):rolleyes::rolleyes: ron.

agree with vince, simple enough job. just take your time.if when you undo the bolts ( don't take em all the way out) if the pump pushes outwards just turn the engine till no pressure then remove bolts completely and replace. as long as you get the pump lever on top of the crank and not under it...

discovery 1 300tdi. e g r removed cat removed. driven sensibly. (yorkshire lad, old habits die hard:D) distance. 35 mpg. about town. 30 mpg. towing the bloody big tin tent 24 mpg.:eek: so not too bad. ron.

what pads are you using and how heavy are you on em, just check em, if you have plenty of pad left it's probably a sensor. if they have little left change em. r4on.

couldn't get into the video.(private) but sounds very much like the new headgasket has gone, and yes, it could most probably be the cause of the missfire. best to lift the head off and check it. was the head checked for cracks or warp. if not sure i would get it checked. ron.
