don't discount it being a fuel issue, pump can be putting out fuel but it may not be putting out enough pressure to get it through injectors.

have you mentioned what MY Disco, as the D1, early D2 differ from later D2, and who knows D3 & 4. All would have a different issue.

have you disconnecting the three pin plug from the compressor and putting 12 volts onto the pin of black wire and earth pin of green wire to see if pump runs and makes air.

have you cleared all of the faults?

thanks for the update. Oh well if it isn't relay, at least you know where it is now, and be able to reach over and unplug it in a hurry before pump destroys itself, providing you left the seat base plastic cover off that is.

disco 2 Td5 has the ZF 22/24 box similar LSE & P38

1" body lift to LSE and it'll take the td5, as long as you can get a complete donor wreck to move all electrics across it is a good conversion, seen a couple of them done now and with a chip and remap will leave the 3.9 for dead from standing start to uphills pulling trailer.

take a look inside tank, should be a upright post in there, fill to top of that when coolant is cold. Sounds like you have put heaps more than needed, could do damage.
