    Whining sound after crossmember replacement

Hello, Is it a whining sound like a pump running dry? Never owned a diesel or ran out while driving one, but i know they need priming if you've ran out. So you might need to prime it?

Pick up cab to tub bolts

Hello, Do anyone know the size of bolt for the pick up cab to tub. Took my windscreen off a few weekends back and the roof and rear window came tilting forward! I swear it used to be bolted down - i think someone may be slowly trying to steal my landy

    Rear crossmember replacement.

There is not reason to cut the loom, just disconnect it in the engine bay and pull it through with some rope attached to it, leave the rope in the chassis as you replace the x member then use the rope to pull the loom back through. Just dont do what i did and acciently pull the rope through. I...

    LT77 Position

Hello, Yeah thats where my engine mounts are. So it looks like the gearbox an engine mounts are in the right place. So know i just need to know if the length of the LT77 and transfer is the same length as the lt95.

    LT77 Position

Yeah hoping to fit an lt77. Assuming it should fit in terms of gearbox mounts and prop shaft but not sure if the engine is in the right place.
  7. P

    LT77 Position

Yeah it'll be in a 4 cylinder position. It was a 4 cylinder diesel, which is assumed was lt77 as its a 1986, then changed to v8/lt95.

    LT77 Position

My v8 doesnt sit right up near the rad, its about 2-3 inches further back. Looking underneath it looks like the gearbox mountings are the origional and the engine mounts are welded it. So chances are it could i could fit without moving the engine??

    90 outer wing

I did one side with in in place, took ages and ended up cutting the old one to pieces. For the other side i just took the wing off, much easier!! But yeah you do need an extension bar and some patients

    LT77 Position

So right now i have a 90 with a v8 attached to a lt95 When it was converted to v8 they removed the lt77 and fitting the lt95, no idea why! anyway, if i was to fit an lt95 and lt230 would the engine need moving forwards/backwards? I bought an lt77 tunnel which was was going to fabricate to fit...

    Fuel consumption

My 2.25 Petrol series 3 was never that bad. Although it would go through a noticeable amount of fuel just ticking over, think it ran a bit too rich.

    DA sander

The only thing to look out for with these is that they're bigger than your standard budget - mid range DA size!! My DA is 125mm -- http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Cocraft-HRD-380-Random-Orbital-Sander/18-3599 i think those are 150. Still work, just have to get them centered. That sander is...

    Heater, replacement options?

Yeah i don't think the fan can move, the water was orange when i started removing it. I'll take it off and apart, hopefully get it refurbed. Although a second hand one is typically less than £50. Worth noting. Doing some repairs to my bulkhead over the next few weekends. So i'll adjust them...

    Fuel consumption

Look at all you sensible people with your diesels. My 1986 V8 does 16-20 mpg. what have you done to tune it up?

    Heater, replacement options?

So, took my wings off this weekend to do some work and noticed the heater was full of rain water. Not 100% how this happened, but the heater was on my list to replace anyway. So do i go with a second hand land rover heater (direct replacement) or are there better after market ones out there...

Rear Wiring Loom to Engine Bay

I just replaced it to where it was, to be fair it was a pain to do. Next time i'll run it down the outside It was a diesel (NA i think) and now a v8. It has a trailer socket, well did. So some of the wires might go to running that.
