Go ahead and clean it sir The pierburg maf is avaliable without the housing and there is no adjustment on it so it follows the bosch one is the same it is held in with 2 self tappers !:eek: i have sprayed mine 2 times with a lot of carb cleaner and it has helped a little regards richtd4es

Hi it's a ball bearing or small bolt to plug in to the EGR i cleaned it out first then place a ball bearing in side the vacuum pipe, imo it does help a little Regards richtd4es
