Mk1 Discos should be re-badged as Land Rover Tea Bag :eek:. Whenever mine goes in for an MOT for my own peace of mind I always ask them beforehand if they mind showing me any faults. If they refuse to allow me under their ramp I go elsewhere. Hopefully if you get someone who know's a fair bit...

Fit a brass household radiator bleed plug to the thermostat housing, and a blank plug to the radiator (size 1/2" BSP), then you can bleed her whilst the system is warm ;)

Been a long time since I did this job but I replaced the window regulator at the same time so had no issue's with the gear cog coming off. If you can get access it should slide back onto it's rod then re-fit motor. Failing that you may have to remove the regulator to re-fit. (Pages 847 & 670 of...

Have a look at this for the workshop manual ;), yeah window up, should be 3 bolts and disconnect the wiring plug.
