Have you tried your old Landrover battery on your works van to see if that starts ok?

    Seats

Ha! already sold that one, now buying a newer one ex BSB, starting racing again next yr. Anyway I allready have some nice seats Mitsubishi Ev0 5 Recaro's, but it's a bit of a tight squeeze with them in, hence looking at 2 seater sports car seats.

    Seats

I'm thinking of swaping my seats for a pair of these, Robin hood westfield locost caterham seats narrow pair on eBay (end time 22-Dec-10 22:15:12 GMT). I currently have a pair of Mitsubishi Evo5 Recaro's, but they're a little bit too big and now I have a truck cab fitted space is really at a...

    Cold diesel solution?

Parafin (kerosene) is actualy around the same price as red diesel 50-60 pence a litre, we use gallons of the stuff at work, and I really can't see the inland revenue detecting such a small amount of Parafin mixed with your diesel. But having said, that for how much you need just use a few litres...

    Just lost my sump plug!

My sump plug has just come out as I was on my way home, luckily I was only a few hundred yards from home when it came out. The first I knew was when the oil light came on as I turned into my street! Finding a sump plug at 10.30 on a Sunday morning was going to be nigh on impossible, but luckily...

    110 steering box replacement

As said above, try a cap full of brake fluid in the powersteering resevoir, it'll make the seals swell and stop the leak. It won't damage anything either,so you've nowt to lose giving it a try.;)

    Is someone having a laugh?

Hmm, I agree, price is a bit steep but it'll sell as it looks original. I wonder what mines worth then with a fresh rebuild onto a galv chassis??? I'm tempted to put it up for sale whilst there's still some snow around.:)

    Could be a non starter!

No you get what you pay for, been there done that bought the cheepo ones that just lasted 4 months! buy a decent brand like NGK. Look at it like this, if you fit cheap ones and it lets you down and costs you a days wage then they will have cost you more than the dearer brand!

Why does my 90 lean back?

Has someone fitted the springs the wrong way around? the rear sould be an inch or 2 higher than the front, although i'm not sure if thats down to the raer springs being stiffer. Try googling Landrover spring rates, you'll find a chart listing all of the springs fitted to varoius models with...

Arghh! Im stumped!!!! - coolant not flowing

Sounds like the water pump impeller has self destruct, I've had this twice, once on a golf gti turbo and on a Rangerover p38 diesel. The motor probably won't overheat whilst driving normally but if you drive it hard then it will. As said above, take the hose nearest to the water pump off and...

I bought a new secondhand td5 galv chassis for £600 (bargain or what!) I'm also fitting a pair of double cranked trailing arms from Adrenaline 4x4 (ebay) and poly bushes throughout, plus a few other mods as I'm going. I've spent around £900 so far, Richards Chassis quoted me £1380 inc vat to...

    td5 starter problems-please help

just a thought have you had it connected up to diagnostics? just wondered if there where any fault codes in the ecu.

    What companies fit galvanised chassis's?

Its all relativly straight forward, I started by removing all of the doors first, then the roof/hardback (mines a 90 van) you'll need a lift off with this, then I removed the seatbox, transmition tunnel and floor panels, I then removed the rear tub (after disconecting the rear wiring) the tub is...
